On Friday evening, hashtag “Aunty” was trending in the micro blogging site against a tweet uploaded by Telugu television host cum actress Anusuya Baradwaj. Earlier, she uploaded a tweet warning the online users not to call her as “Aunty” and said that they will be facing legal action if they continue to do so. It all started after Aunusuya uploaded a tweet indirectly attacking actor Vijay Devarakonda post the release of his recent film “Liger”.

Referring to a controversy surrounding Vijay Devarakonda that dates back to 5 years ago, Anusuya uploaded a tweet in Telugu language. It has been reported that Vijay used a cuss word during the promotions of his film Arjun Reddy. “Karma is a boomerang and it does come back even if late. Mother’s pain will not go away. Karma.. sometimes will find it difficult to come but will come for sure” translation of the actress’s Telugu tweet read and she added hashtags such as #NotHappyOnsomeonesSadness , #FaithRestored.

As soon as the actress’s tweet got surfaced, fans of Vijay Devarakonda started troubling the actress through their comments and age shamed her by calling her as “aunty”. A a result, hashtag “Aunty” is trending in Twitter.

Reacting to the trolls, the actress issued a warning to those who called her as “Aunty’ in social media. “Hereby.. taking screenshot of every account abusing me.. age shaming me by calling “Aunty”.. involving my family into this and I will file a case and take it to a point where you will regret getting to me without any legit reason.. this is my final warning..” she said in her tweet.
