After joining college, she started luring her co-students, says the reports.
According to the police, the AVS team received a tip-off about commercial sex work being carried out in a lodge on Poonamalee high road. Acting on the tip-off, the team conducted searches and confirmed the illegal activity. During the search operation, the police rescued three women from an apartment in Egmore.
Investigations revealed that Jayapradha got entangled in the prostitution ring along with her absconding boyfriend, Prakash. The gang had been operating for more than a month, and none of the rescued women were college students, according to a police officer.

Jayapradha is pursuing second-year engineering at a private institute in Nungambakkam. The police have remanded the arrested persons in custody after producing them before a magistrate.
