“Don’t Review My Films” – Actress Slammed Famous Movie Portal

Actress Yami Gautam who is known for acting in films such as “Uri : The Surgical Strike”, “Bala”, ” Vicky Donor”, on Thursday, slammed the review of Film companion for the review they made on her recently released Bollywood film “Dasvi”. In the film, Yami acted in the role of a police officer along with Abishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur.

The film which got directly released on Netflix and Jio cinema on 7th of April, is touted to be a social comedy that highlights the importance of education. On Thursday, Yami took to her twitter account and called out the publication for their review which she felt as a “disrespectful” one.
The actress who said that she is open for constructive criticism, said that she worked hard to become a self made star in the Bollywood industry and requested the movie based portal named Film companion to not review her again.

In the screenshot which was captured from the review, it could be seen written “Yami Gautham is no longer the dead girlfriend I’m Hindi films but the combative smile is starting to get repetitive. Here’s the screenshot :
“Before I say anything else, I’d like to say that I usually take constructive criticism in my stride. But when a certain platform keeps trying to pull you down consistently, I felt it necessary to speak up about it” said Yami Gautham through her post.
“My recent films & performances include ‘A Thursday’, ‘Bala’, ‘Uri’ etc & yet this is qualified as a ‘review’ of my work! It’s extremely disrespectful!” the actress further said through her tweet.

“It takes years of hard work for anyone & especially a self-made actor like me to keep proving our mettle again & again with every opportunity. This is what it comes down to from certain reputed portals!” Yami vented out after reading the review.
“It’s heartbreaking since I did look up to @FilmCompanion once upon a time, like many of us, but I don’t seek that since long now! I would request you not to ‘review’ my performance henceforth ! I’ll find grace in that & it’ll be less painful” read her tweet.
