Vinoth, in a recent interaction with all india radio, said that he wanted to cover all the fans of a star like Ajith Kumar. “There are fans for Ajith sir who like films like ” Mankatha”, “Billa” and he also enjoys a family audience. The mother-son angle was focused only to cover all kind of audience ” the filmmaker said.
Talking about trimming a particular portion from the film after three days of theatrical release, the filmmaker said “After watching a first half, screenplay of which was fast and crisp, audience are not in a mind state to watch a slow paced second half. I heard that audience are expecting fast paced screenplay in the second half also as in first half” Vinoth said.
“To get the high for two back to back fights, there should be a low in between. So, the meter was placed perfectly to give the high for the audience. But the restlessness public are going through these days after maintaining a habit of watching 30 seconds videos in YouTube shorts back to back is the reason behind the feedback I got” Vinoth said in the interview.
“I also heard that they felt the restlessness as they watched a fast paced first half. So we decided to remove the scenes that didn’t affect the story and uploaded them in YouTube as deleted scenes. There are also a kind of people who ask why we deleted such good scenes. We decided to release the film only after watching the film and coming to conclusion about there’s no lag in the screenplay” Vinoth added.
“People are not watching the film we made. They are reviewing the film they watched. We considered the feedback for their review and chopped few scenes” Vinoth further said.
