A new rumour making the rounds of Kodambakkam is that actress Sai Pallavi, who is in the limelight because of the phenomenal hit Rowdy Baby, is dating director Vijay (AL Vijay). Vijay and Sai Pallavi have worked together in Karu (2018).

It is also said that the two are looking at a wedding in the near future and are expected to make the announcement soon. This rumour about Sai Pallavi dating AL Vijay has taken fans of the actress by surprise.

Popular Tamil entertainment portals have reported that director Vijay will soon marry Sai Pallavi, the fastest rising actress of south. But when asked, sources close to director Vijay denied the reports as mere rumors.

Earlier, there were also reports linking the director and Sayyeshaa but they share a brother-sister bond. In fact, it was director Vijay who took care of the wedding of Sayyeshaa.

On seeing this news in a popular news website, BIGG BOSS fame Gayathri Raguramm condemned the news and asked them to take it down. In her tweet she wrote “I condemn such bad headlines. I have high regards for the film news u carry but this one is putting a women down and film news down. If it’s not true don’t make it a news. It’s spooling the image of the film stars and industry. Whom ever it may concern please remove”

Vijay is currently focusing on the Thalaivi, the biopic on the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. To be produced by Vibri Media, Thalaivi will be made at a massive budget of 100 crore rupees. Kangana Ranaut plays Jayalalithaa in the film which is likely to have National award-winning actor Samuthirakani and Sai Pallavi in pivotal characters.

Vijay was once married to actress Amala Paul, who had worked with him in his film Deiva Thirumagal (2011). The two got divorced in 2017. Vijay hinted that there were trust issues between him and Paul and he refused to talk in depth in public about his private life.

Sai Pallavi will next be seen in Suriya’s NGK, which is directed by Selvaraghavan. Producer SR Prabhu announced that NGK will release on May 31 this year. Pallavi is also part of an upcoming Malayalam film called Athiran.

On the other hand, director Vijay is in desperate need of a hit. His last two films Vanamagan and Karu bombed at the box office. He is currently busy with his upcoming film Devi 2, which is a sequel to the 2016 film Devi.
