“When I was doing Mudhalvan, the dates matters were dealt by my associate director who talked with S.A. Chandrasekar at that time regarding the call sheet of Vijay. Something does not went well between them which resulted in actor Arjun doing the role. Later, SAC worried that he would have talked with me itself instead of dealing it with a third person.

Touted as the most expensive Indian project ever, 2.0 is reportedly made at a budget of Rs 543 crore and is apparently more expensive than several successful Hollywood VFX classics like Deadpool, X-Men and Batman. On its first day, 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, garnered a revenue of ₹80 crore across India.
This is the second highest for an Indian film after Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), which made over ₹150 crore.
In Chennai, the movie managed to collect ₹2.42 crore. Overall, in Tamil Nadu, the movie collected ₹18 crore.
