Director Seenu Ramasamy Cried On Stage Because Of Ilayaraaja !! WATCH

A video showing renowned director Seenu Ramasamy of “Darmadurai” fame shedding teas on stage in the audio launch function of his upcoming film “Maamanithan” starring Vijay Sethupathi is going viral in social media platforms. In the video, the filmmaker could be seen saying that he was not allowed to oversee the recording and composing of the films of his own film and the lyric papers for every song were not given to him.
“Maamanithan” starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathri, a log awaited film of director Seenu Ramasamy is expected to hit the screens on 23rd of June 2022. Produced by music director Yuvan Shankar Raja under his production banner “U1 Records”, it was announced that the film is going to have the music of both Ilayaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time in the history.
Anticipation level for the film is little high ever since the announcement was made and the audio launch event for the film took place recently. Director Seenu Ramasamy who introduced Vijay Sethupathi to the Tamil film industry, in the event, became emotional and vented out the disappointments that he faced during the making of the film.
Seenu Ramasamy said that during the agreement signing, he was informed that the producer who is also the music director for the film will be working with the lyric writers whomsoever they like. “I agreed happily knowing that the opportunities will be given to the well known lyric writers like Pa. Vijay and others. But when I called and asked Pa. Vijay about the lyrics he wrote for a song, he was talking to me with hesitation. He was so reluctant that he spoke to me like he was speaking to his illegal affair” Seenu Ramasamy said in the event.

“I went to the birthday party function of Yuvan Shankar Raja and a youngster came to me and introduced himself. He said that he wrote lyrics for a song in my film and I asked which film. He answered ” Maamanithan” and I congratulated him and asked him to send me the lyric paper in whatsApp” The filmmaker further said.
Seenu Ramasamy also thanked director Amir for helping him out during such hardship. The “Darmadurai” maker expressed his displeasure over not being included in the process of composing songs. The filmmaker said that he has immense respect and love towards Ilayaraaja to an extend he changed the story’s geography to Pannaipuram, a place where Ilayaraaja was born. “I don’t know why I’m excluded from being a part of Maamanithan songs” Seenu worried.
Further, Seenu said that a boy named Vinoth who is working in the office of Yuvan Shankar Raja said that the problem lies on the filmmaker removing the name of Karthick Raja from the title. “I have nothing personal with Karthick Raja and removing his name is their decision. Even, I have worked with Karthick Raja during the time I was doing ad films” Seenu Ramasamy said.
