Warming in the right tune for the upcoming ICC World Cup in the warm-up game against Bangladesh on Tuesday, MS Dhoni was a star turnout as the veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman smashed an impressive century to power Virat Kohli and Co. to a mammoth total. Answering his outspoken critics with the willow throughout this year, Dhoni proved his worth again by playing magnificent innings of 113 that came in just 78 balls. Dhoni, who was earlier questioned for being sluggish with the bat started slowly as India kept on losing wickets in quick successions.
Other than scoring boundaries, Dhoni was also spotted doing something unexpected as he decided to help Bangladesh in setting the field, while Mashrafe Mortaza’s men struggled to contain the flow of runs from his bat. The incident took social media by storm as MSD – arguably the most intelligent and the most generous cricketer in the world – helped his opposite team to set the right field against him.
Here’s the video:
Part-time spinner Sabbir Rahman was tasked to bowl the 40th over of the Indian innings. MS Dhoni, who was on strike, observed some irregularities in the field. One of the fielders, who was supposed to stand in the short squarish fine-leg region was out of his position. The former Indian skipper was quick to point this mistake out and tried assisting the bowler. Sabbir was clearly embarrassed after this incident and asked the fielder to move to his actual position. MSD and KL Rahul, as well as the umpire, shared a good laugh after this.

RT abhymurarka: In yesterday’s warm-up match, Dhoni stopped bowler Sabbir Rahman and advised him to move his fielder from wid-wicket to square leg in the 40th over. The bowler agreed.
That’s the level of involvement he brings to his game.#Captain pic.twitter.com/qfIrWns6OK

Best thing in ICC World Cup till now! 💙
M.S.Dhoni batting in 39th over, asks the Bangladeshi Bowler to stop bowling and tells him to move his fielder wandering near mid wicket to square leg, and Bangladesh Team says okay and moves that fielder! 😂😂😂

What was truly humbling to see is that the Bangladesh bowler Sabbir Rahman acknowledged at once what Dhoni was suggesting and changed the field. The game then continued, with the Ranchi-born wicket-keeper batsman continuing his onslaught against the Bangla Tigers to prove his mettle right in time before the start of the World Cup.
