Since the evening of Wednesday, entire cricketing fraternity coming up with tweets opining about “India being together” and raised their voices against external forces involving in the politics of India. Starting from Sachin Tendulkar to current Indian captain Virat Kohli, almost all the top tier cricketers uploaded tweets advising their followers to be together.

It all started when International pop star Rihanna uploaded a tweet about the protest of Indian farmers. Follower by her Climate change activist Greta Thunberg, US Vice president Kamal Harris’s niece Meena Harris and former adult star Mia Khalifa also showed support posting tweets reacting to the agitation.

In a series of tweets uploaded, Meena Harris expressed her anger over the “internet shut downs and paramilitary violence against farmer protests”, and shared an image of a woman farmer with a placard that said “stop killing farmers”. Popular adult star and international icon Mia Khalifa condemned the Indian government for violating the human rights and Rihanne shared an article regarding the protest with a caption saying “why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest”. Greta Thuberg uploaded a tweet supporting the protest being conducted by the Farmers of India. “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.” Greta’s tweet read.
As soon as these tweets grabbed the headlines across the world, Indian popular sports personalities starting from Sachin Tendulkar to former Indian all rounder Suresh Raina, many cricketers uploaded tweets indicating that Indians should decide for India.

Apart from Sachin, VIrat, Raina, some of the big names such as Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya rahane, Hardik Pandya, Anil Kumble, Ravi Shahsthri came up with tweets advising their followers to be united.

However, former Indian captain and the most influential cricketer of all time Mahendra Singh Dhoni didn’t upload a tweet regarding India being against propaganda along with Yuvraj Singh. For not tweeting about it like his fellow cricketers, the hashtag “Dhoni” is trending nationwide with thousands of tweets.
