Dinesh Karthick who is currently representing Royal Challengers Bangalore, in an interaction with experts, had said that the fanbase Dhoni enjoys is immense and compared the cricketer with “Beast” Vijay. Karthick also said that one could feel the surface shaking due to the cheer of fans when Dhoni is entering the stadium.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, former captain of Indian cricket team, is currently captaining Chennai Super Kings after Ravindra Jadeja gave up the captaincy. The cricketer who got debuted in the year 2004, took over captaincy of Indian cricket team in the year 2007 and won many ICC trophies for the team.

Being considered as one of greatest captain/wicket keeper of all time, Dhoni has been enjoying a huge fan base. Ahead of the 2019 world Cup, Dhoni handed over the captaincy to Virat Kohli and also did the same for Chennai Super Kings during 2022. The cricketer made Jadeja as captain and took it back again from him due to the pressure he was going through.

Dhoni’s timely decisions in field, cool attitude in tough situations and unorthodox yet efficient batting style gained him a huge fan base. After his retirement from International cricket, fans of the cricketer would be waiting for IPL to take place only to witness him on field. Whenever the cricketer enters the stadium, the crowd will erupt in joy and excitement.

Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthick who is currently doing well for Royal challengers Bangalore, lauded the fan base of the cricketer in a recent TV interaction. “The fandom Thala enjoys is second to none. There’s no doubt in it. You can feel the shake in the ground while he walks in, equal to “Beast” Vijay. CSK has more fan base and if you see from the ground, you can witness yellow throughout” Dinesh Karthick said.
