Actress Mehreen Pirzada who is known among Tamil audience for appearing with Dhanush in his recently released film “Pattas”, released a press note saying that she is calling off her wedding with Congress leader Bhavya Bishnoi. The news came in as a shock to the fans who were expecting for the couple to tie knot post lockdown. The couple got engaged during March month this year at a fort in Jaipur. Engagement pictures of the couple went viral in social media platforms with fans wishing them the best.

Hours before making the break up official, the actress uploaded a story in her Instagram space which said “Be your own first, then find another” and added a “Hell Yes” sticker to it.

In the official press release that were uploaded in her social media handles, Mehreen wrote “Bhavya Bishnoi and I have decided to break off our engagement and not go ahead with the wedding. It’s a decision that has been taken amicably and in the best interest. With respect in my heart I would like to say that from now on I have no further association with Bhavya Bishnoi, any of his family members or friends.”

Bhavya, son of Adampur in Hisar MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi, and grandson of former Haryana state Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, proposed to the 25 year old actress in Maldives when they went Scuba diving. Mehreen recently contacted COVID 19 virus and got recovered. Bhavya also tested positive for the virus and the couple looked after each other well when they were sick. The actress made her debut in 2016 with the Telugu film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha and her Hindi debut with Phillauri in 2017, and her Tamil debut with Nenjil Thunivirundhal in 2017. She also appeared in Aswathamma in 2020.

She rose to fame after appearing in 2019 film F2: Fun and Frustration in which she appeared with Venkatesh and Tamanna and went on pair with Tamil superstar Dhanush in “Pattas”.
