Veterinary Doctor IPS Officer Dr. R Stalin who is currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Police for Thiruvarur district, on Wednesday, came up with a video in his official twitter handle that showed more than two thousand kilograms of illegal drug materials such as Ganja being destroyed by daily workers. As soon as the video caught the attention of the public eyes, various kind of reactions are surfacing in the comment section of the IPS officer’s post.

A Twitter user said that the 2082 plus kgs of Ganja could be sold by the Indian government to the countries where drugs are legal and make money out of it. While many others worried about the harm that could be caused by the pollution of the burning, few even referred to the recently released blockbuster film “Vikram” which talked about Tamil nadu becoming a drug free society.

This is not the first time Police officials are destroying the illegal drugs that they seized from the accused. On Wednesday, IPS officer Dr. R. Stalin uploaded a 53 seconds long video in his twitter timeline and said “2082.20 kilograms of Ganja that were seized from several cases in the central zone of Trichy, were destroyed by burning” through his caption.

The video showed a number of Policemen capturing videos of the incident where the bags filled with drug are being burned by workers. Check out his post below :

The post garnered various kind of reactions from the users of the micro blogging social media site. Many users questioned the air pollution the method is causing whereas few requested the officer to nab the cartels who are behind these drugs. A number of users referred about the “Vikram” movie as well. A user tagged director Lokesh kanagaraj and asked whether Agent Vikram aka Ghost will do the same in the next part of the movie.
