Virudhunagar district collector’s reply to a student who asked whether tomorrow is leave or not is trending in the social media platforms. Meghanath Reddy, collector of the Tamilnadu district, replied with the lyrics from famous Tamil song and asked the student to wake up tomorrow and reach the school, confirming that it is a fake news.

Schools and colleges of several districts will remain shut on 12th of November due to the heavy rain, said reports. Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kallakurichi, Salem, Vellur, Thirippathur, Ranipet and Thirivannamalai are some of the districts that officially announced holiday for 12th of November.

The India meteorological department has issued a red alert in the above mentioned districts, and warned of heavy and extremely heavy rainfall in those areas. The department has predicted heavy rainfall in Tamilnadu, Pudhucherry till 13th of November.

In the meantime, a student from Virudhunagar district uploaded a photo that showed a television channel announcing holiday at that district and tagged Meghanath Reddy, collector of the district to confirm about the same. “Sir Enna Sir Ethu puthucha kalambitaika 🤨… CONFIRM PANUKA SIR…” read the tweet of the student.

Replying to the same, the collector dropped the lyrics from the recent chartbuster “Thenmozhi” and said that it’s a fake news and asked him to reach school tomorrow.

“பாலே இங்க தேறல பாயாசம் கேக்குதா !!! Rain NO. School YES. Wrong News. Sleep soon and wake up for School. Good Night” the collector’s tweet read.
