Tamil nadu Chief minister MK Stalin came up with a series of tweets, reacting to the speech of Rahul Gandhi in the Parliament about people of Tamil nadu. Stalin thanked Rahul Gandhi for his rousing speech and said that the latter had voiced the long standing arguments of Tamils in the parliament. The tweet garnered huge reception in no time with many sharing the videos of Rahul Gandhi’s speech in the comment section of CM’s tweet.
On 2nd of February, in his speech at Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi attacked the Union Government saying that the BJP party could never rule state Tamil nadu. “There are two visions of this country. One vision is that it is a union of states, meaning it is a negotiation. meaning it is a conversation, meaning I go to my brother in Tamil nadu and I say, “what do you want?” and he says, “This is what I want”. He then asks me “what do you want ?” and I say “this is what I want”. It is partnership, it is not Kingdom. You will never, ever in your entire life, rule over the People of Tamil nadu. It can’t be done” Rahul Gandhi said during his speech.
You (BJP) will never, will never ever in your entire life rule over the people of Tamil Nadu. It cannot be done.

The fiery speech of the Congress leader stirred up a discussion among the public about the ruling of BJP government. He said that “his brother from Tamil nadu has the same right” as his “sister from Maharashtra”. On seeing himself mentioning about Tamil nadu and its people a lot in his speech, a reporter questioned “you mentioned Tamil nadu a lot in your speech today” and the Congress leader came up with a reply saying that he himself is a Tamilian.
In the video which is doing rounds, Rahul Gandhi could be seen exiting from the Parliament house and walking towards his car. At that moment, a reporter told the congress leader that he mentioned Tamil nadu several times in his speech. Replying to him, Rahul Gandhi said “Main Tamil hoon na” which is translated as “I am Tamil”
