Now the actress posted against body shaming in her official twitter account by stating an incident that she witnessed came through. In her post she wrote “Body shaming and how common it is. Last October, at an interview for a Tamil channel, I happened to mention to the journalist who was interviewing me that I knew his colleague by a different name. Pat came the reply from the man – You knew her as what? “Gundu Ponnu?!”

On seeing this reply, Chinmayi said that she was just tying her hair and it is the men who made it look ugly. Her tweet said “Honestly – this photo, this video and the photographer who shot it and the papers/channels that carried it is the typical sleazy male gaze that we should be worried about. All I was doing was tying up my hair and it is a man like you who made it dirty :)”

She even replied to a guy who asked why she is making it popular again by retweeting it.

Chinmayi’s replies to her followers are very much popular. She replied to many of haters including the one who asked her nude pictures. The South Indian #MeToo representative trolled him back hilariously by sending him the pictures of nude lipsticks.
