The couple resided in the Kondithoppu guard quarters, cherishing the early days of their married life.

Tragedy struck on an ordinary day as they were route to a hospital in Kilipakkam for a routine medical check-up. Sugapriya, six months pregnant, accompanied Anandaraj on their two-wheeler. Suddenly, a branch from a roadside tree broke and plummeted onto Vepperi Evera Road. The falling branch inflicted severe injuries on Anandaraj’s collarbone and left arm, while Sugapriya suffered minor injuries to her face.

The impact of the incident was devastating. Anandaraj, critically injured, was rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for immediate medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical team, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and tragically, he succumbed to his injuries this morning while still on artificial respiration.
