For abusing a lorry driver who works in sanitary department, a man named as Chandrasekar has been booked under Indian Penal Code section 294 B. Video of the incident captured by the victim created outrage and it is going extremely viral in social media platforms. Many users slammed Chandrasekar for the way he treated a man who came to do his service.

To remove the wastewater in a private apartment which is located in IIT Colony of Pallikarani, Chennai, Manikandan went from Narayanapuram. At that time, Chandrasekar who lives in the apartment started abusing Manikandan for no appropriate reason. Dejected manikandan, registered police complaint on 10th of April.

In a way of reacting to the complaint, Police officers booked Chandrasekar for using bad language to abuse someone under IPC 294 B. In the video we can see Chandrasekar degrading Manikandan by saying that manages to eat only by cleaning the defecation of his apartment members. “You call whomsoever, I will say the same to them. What difference it makes if you eat our defecation or the food earned through our defecation” says the man who is very much aware of him being captured in video.

Sanitary workers are one of the department members who are still working irrespective of the Corona crisis which killed more than 1 lakh people across the world. Recently, a video of a sanitary worker expressing his wish of getting appreciated by the people went viral across the Internet.

Even if we couldn’t spend our time in appreciating their effort, we must not hurt them by using such bad words. It is high time for people like Chandrasekar to realize that no worker from any field deserves to get humiliated if he earns money in a honest way.
