A native fan of Grammy and Oscar Winner A.R Rahman commented on his recent tweet questioning “Do You Remember Chennai??” after seeing him promoting his upcoming concert which is going to take place at Pune. The tweet garnered the attention of Rahman himself who came up reply saying that the process of getting permission takes 6 long month.

The Music Maestro is going to perform his full-fledged Live Concert for Feeding Smiles in Pune. Feeding Smiles is a mission created to offer philanthropic assistance to families in abject poverty and end hunger in children. This grand musical saga titled “HOLI Parties 2023”, expecting to offer the magic of music on March 7 at The Mills, Pune.

A.R Rahman who doesn’t need any introduction among the cinema fans of India, invited his followers to witness his concert and earn the essence of music. To call him just a musician or composer would do his impact and legacy no justice.

On Wednesday, he came up with a poster of his upcoming concert and said “Pune! How’s it going! Looking forward to performing for you all on the 7th of March at The Mills, Rajabahadur International Ltd Pune” and attached the ticket booking link in his tweet.

On seeing the same, Many fans from all over the world started asking him for his concerts in their respective places. Similarly, Tamil followers hyped up in the comment section and asked A.R Rahman to conduct a concert in Chennai city of Tamilnadu.

A female fan named Rajya Shree from Chennai commented “Sir, there is a city named Chennai..Do you remember? to express her wish over Rahman conducting a concert at his home city. Its been months since his concert happened in Chennai which made a lot of Tamil followers of him to eagerly wait for his response.

To everyone’s surprise, the reputed musician replied saying “Permissions, Permissions, Permissions 6 months process”

Out of love, His followers started mentioning the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu to grant permission for his concert and whereas mentioning “red tape” which could be a probable reason for the delay in the permission.

Throughout his illustrious career, Rahman has composed music for some of the biggest names in the Hollywood, Bollywood, and Tamil film industry, and with some of the best singers and musicians. He has several international collaborations as well – including English, Chinese, and Iranian films. He has worked with Ranjit Barot, Shivamani, Clinton Cerejo, and international stars like Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Kylie Minogue, and Zayn Malik.

His recent work as a music director for the film Ponniyin Selvan:1 was an important film in Kollywood Industry which has minted more than 400 crores at the global box office and erased many existing records. In Tamilnadu and USA, the film was the highest-grossing one.

According to latest updates the Oscar winning composer lost his mother a few months back. It looks like he is on a signing spree after a break. A.R.Rahman has signed Silambarasan TR’s Pathu Thala directed by Krishna . The film has Gautam Kartik, Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the lead roles. The film is the Tamil remake of super hit Kannada film Mufti. AR Rahman is also composing for Silambarasan TR’s next film with Gautham menon. This will be the third time these three will be coming together after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. Apart from that, Rahman’s “Ponniyin Selvan 2” is gearing up for the release. Malayan Kunju, Mamannan, Ayalaan are some of his other upcoming projects.
