Team Chennai Superkings registered their second win in the tournament in style on Thursday by defeating 5 times IPL champions in the last ball of our batting innings. The team which was chasing a total of 155 runs, stumbled to score runs which required 17 runs in the last over. Former CSK captain MS Dhoni finished the game for his team in style as usual.

Losing early wickets to Chennai’s pace bowler Mukesh Chowdhary, Mumbai Indians were struggling to score runs after being asked to bat first by Chennai who won the toss. Tilak Varma’s half century and Unadkat’s couple of boundaries helped Mumbai to put something on board to bowl.

CSK didn’t get the opening they wanted and Rayuda, Uthappa scored runs with less strike rate. Pretorius’s quickfire 22 helped the team but Dhoni’s finishing skills made sure the yellow team register their second win in the tournament. He smashed one six, two fours and a double in the last 4 balls to chase down the total of Mumbai.

A total of 83 lakh fans watched the last over in the Hotstar app and the entire Internet erupted celebrating CSK’s victory which also made Mumbai to register their 7th consecutive loss in the tournament. Many celebrities from cinema industry, sports field, politicians and business magnets celebrated the last over finish of Dhoni which is evident in the timeline of social media platforms.
