Ahead of the 75th Independence Day that country India is going to celebrate, Prime minister Narendra Modi urged the country’s citizens to change their profile picture to tri colour. The PM’s statement has caused a several kind of reactions in the social media platforms.
“Under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, from August 13-15, a special movement- Har Ghar Tiranga is being organized. I have a suggestion that from August 2-15, al of us can place the Tricolour in our social media profile pictures”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
Further, Prime minister said that August 2 also has a special connection with the Tri colour. “This day is the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkaiah ji who designed our national flag. I pay my respectful homage to him. I will also remember the great revolutionary Madam Cama”, he said.
As soon as the statement was made, online users started reacting to it. “We don’t need suggestions as to how to showcase our patriotism Mr. Prime Minister, your role is to govern. Talk about that” a social media user commented “What profile picture people should use for getting govts attention about flooded roads, inflation & unemployment ?
