Just as expected, the diya lighting even conducted by our honourable Prime minister Modi, went wrong to an extent that people started bursting crackers and roamed in streets with Torch and beacon in their hands. Many cases of emergency and the videos of it are kept surfacing in Internet. Public people including Cinema and sports personalities who witnessed these unnecessary gestures started questioning the intelligence of those who bursted crackers at this period of time where we are supposed to be separated from each other.

On hearing the sound of crackers bursting in their neighbourhood, cricketers Rohit Sharma and Ashwin expressed their frustration through tweets. “But I really do wonder where all these people bought their crackers from and of course ( when is the most important Q) !! “ and Rohit Sharma sarcastically trolled them by saying that World cup is still some time away. Many celebrities including Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Mohan Lal, Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli switched off the lights in their home and held candles and diya high, in a way of showing their support. However, this cracker bursting practice came out of syllabus as people were expected to gather together similar to the previous occasion.
