A teacher named Subramaniam who caught beating, kicking a student in class room, has been suspended and ordered by the court to be lodged in jail till 27th of October. Cases under 5 sections has been registered against him after the video of himself involving in the brutal act went viral in social media platforms. The incident happened in Government Boys higher secondary school that is located in Chidambaran, Tamil nadu. The video created huge outrage among the users of Internet platforms with many expressing their angst over it.

Subramaniam was a physics teacher for 12th standard student in Nandanar Boys school in Chidamabaram’s Durai Kaliyamoorthy Nagar. It has been reported that 7 students had not been regular in attending the classes, leading the teacher to beat them as punishment. The viral video shows the students kneeling down one after another and getting beaten up by Subramaniam.

The physics teacher caught on camera canning them and he could also be seen kicking the students repeatedly. A fellow student of the victims recorded the atrocious incident through a cell phone and released the same in social media. Selva pandiyan, Aadhi-Dravidar in charge and care taker of the school has initiated an inquiry. After Selva Pandiyan promised to take appropriate actions against the teacher, reports on the teacher getting suspended surfaced.

அன்று ஆசிரியர்கள் அடித்ததால் படித்தார்கள். இன்றும் பண்பாளர்களாக சமூகத்தில் வாழ்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் இன்று பல சமூக குற்றங்களில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள் மாணவர்களே….. அதற்கு காரணம் இது போன்ற சட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளே.

I studied in a Govt school for 7 yrs. Not a day passed without getting canned by the Teacher! So is the case with most students. That’s the norm. We never complained. Wonder why it wasn’t a national news those days!!!
