We have seen Chinmayi sharing many stories that she faced in her life and the stories of others which was shared to her. But now the singer and dubbing artist has shared an incident that she went through which won many of her followers heart.

Chinmayi has said that a cab driver forced her to take a free ride for voicing against sexual harassment. Through her official micro blogging social media site, Chinmayi wrote “A cab driver just gave me a ride and adamantly insisted he won’t take money because he’s grateful I spoke up against sexual harassment. Don’t even know what to say. May girls get brothers and fathers and husbands like this wonderful man❤️❤️”

In a way of adding to what Chinmayi wrote, her husband, actor and Director Rahul Ravindran said that Chinmayi came back home crying like a baby. Rahul even insisted the cab driver to take the money but he refused it and said that couldn’t put in words what Chinmayi is doing to the society.

“It was a ride back home and she actually came out of the cab crying like a baby. Got really worried.. and then she told me what happened:) I went to him and insisted he takes the money and he flat out refused. Said he can’t put in words how important what she’s doing is❤️” he wrote in his tweet.

Chinmayi is known for voicing out for the girls who became victim of sexual harassment. As soon as she represented the #MeToo movement in South India by accusing lyricist Vairamuthu, she started receiving so many personal messages from girls who got affected by harassers.
