Bumrah made Broad to relive the horror of the 2007 inaugural T20 World Cup when the now retired India all rounder Yuvraj singh smashed him for 36 runs that had six sixes in it.
Bumrah went all out against Broad in the 84th over of the India’s innings as the deliveries bowled by the England bowler went all the directions of the park. 29 runs came from the bat of the leading Indian bowler and Broad bowled 5 wides and a no ball.

Through his batting, Bumrah had beaten the long standing record of former West indian top order batsman Brian Lara who has been keeping the record with him for 18 years by scoring 28 runs in an over.
Lara had hit South African left-arm spinner Robin Peterson for 28 runs in a test match in 2003-04 which included four 4s and two 6s of six legal deliveries. Former Australian player George Bailey also scored 28 runs in an over but he was behind Lara in terms of boundary count.
Reacting to Bumrah breaking his 18 year old record, Brian Lara came up with a tweet in his official twitter handle, writing “Join me in congratulating the young @Jaspritbumrah93 on breaking the record of Most Runs in a Single Over in Tests. Well done!🏆”

As far as the match is concerned, India got all out for 416 runs with Jadeja and Pant scoring centuries. Till the end, Bumrah didnt get out and was in the crease with 31 not out. England has scored 84 runs and lost 5 wickets so far.
