BREAKING : For The First Time, A Single Man Caught Smuggling Rs. 100 Crore Worth Narcotics At Chennai Airport !!

In a shocking turn of events, an Indian passenger named Iqba lBasha Urandadi caught at Chennai airport by customs officials while smuggling 9.5 kg of drugs that included cocaine and heroin. The incident happened at the evening of Friday and the drugs seized worth Rs. 1000 crores, according to reports. A video that is doing rounds showing how the officials are extracting the illegal drugs from the belongings of the individuals, reminded public about the Tamil movie “Ayan” in which the protagonist was shown smuggling illegal drugs through his belongings such as water bottle, wig etc.
The passenger arrived from Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Airlines aand it has been reported that it is the first time a single person caught smuggling such a huge haul of drugs in Chennai airport. The 38 year old has been arrested by the officials after he was caught carrying such massive cache of drugs and enquiry is on full swing to nab the kingpin behind the racket.

The illegal drug materials were concealed in his checked-in baggage and footwear totally weighing 9.590 kgs amounting to Rs. 100 crore. According to the customs department, the substance was seized under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. It is notable that the customs department seized Heroin worth Rs. 8.86 crore from a Tanzanian citizen at Chennai Airport in July.
The Passenger arrived Chennai from Entebbe, Uganda, on 14th of July and the of kg ficials recovered the drug from him which was in Capsule form. The passenger had reportedly swallowed 86 capsules and on extraction, the drug weighing 1.26 kg Rs. 8.86 crore recovered from him.
In June month, customs official caught a passenger who arrived on an Emirates flight concealing gold as foils and bits in four refurbished phones worth Rs. 30 lakh. While frisking him, nothing was found in the passenger named Mohammed Kasim of Chepauk but while closely examining his electronic gadgets, officials found that his four phones contained gold foils and bits of gold.
Even in May month, custom officials arrested an Uganda national for smuggling heroin worth Rs. 6.58 crore to India.
