Singer Chinmayi trolled an Instagram user who made a reel video highlighting that “Dupatta” is the most expensive gift for a woman as she would earn “Respect” through it. Calling him as a “Boomer uncle”, Chinmayi shared the video in her Twitter timeline to let her followers see his regressive video.

Not only from Chinmayi, the video garnered widespread trolls and criticisms from many women across social media platforms. The 28 seconds long fictional video shows the individual’s 2nd year anniversary with his imaginary wife.

When she comes to wish him to celebrate the special day, he gives her a shawl as his gift. “We are 2 years together now, why are you gifting a shawl every year” the girl asks to which the user replies “I heard girls like expensive gifts. According to me, respect is the most expensive gift for a girl. If you wear this Dupatta, everyone will respect you” he replies and the video ends with the wife showering love of her husband.

The video grabbed the attention of singer cum me too activist Chinmayi who shared the video and said “Boomer uncle” through her quoted reply.
