Video of an interaction of Andimuthu Raja, popularly known as A Raja, one of an important leader of the DMK party doing rounds in social media platforms since past two days. The politician, can be seen stating his opinions regarding the new education policy, Kandha Sashti Kavasam issue and regarding many more issues that are taking place in the Tamil speaking state. He was a member of the 15th Lok Sabha representing the Nilgiris constituency of Tamil Nadu and had been elected to house for four times since 1996. Raja is an advocate by profession and he did his masters from Government Law College in Tiruchirappalli.

In the interaction, while addressing about the recent controversy of Karupar Kootam’s perception on Lord Muruga’s Kandha Sashti Kavasam, Raja said that nothing in this world is “holy” and people should state opinion against opinion instead of demanding leaders to react. “If there is an opinion against your ideology, involve in an argument. If they say there is no god, say that there is god. If they say Godmen are bad, counter the statement by saying that he is good. Let’s talk. I don’t understand.” said Raja in the interaction who goes on to explain that there is nothing is “holy”.

After referring a popular Tamil saying on God’s existence, Raja says “Nothing in this world is “pure”. A man stating his opinion on “Kandha Sashti Kavasam”. Many people opposed his opinion. I myself saw a spiritual person saying that nothing wrong in a man asking Lord Muruga to save his bums when there are chances for it to get infected by cancer. That is an opinion. Questioning God’s role in saving the bums is an opinion. One should confront an opinion with another. Claiming that Hindu religion got hurt because of it and demanding Stalin and Raja to react has no use. We have already reacted” he said in the interaction.

On seeing raja saying that nothing in this world is “Pure”, A.P Muruganandhan, All India Vice President of BJP youth wing posted a tweet degrading Raja’s birth. By posting the statement Raja said in the interview, Muruganantham wrote “You was born that way”. “இந்த உலகத்தில் எதுவுமே புனிதம் இல்லை – திஹார் ராஜா. உங்கள் பிறப்பு அப்படி..” read the tweet of A.P Muruganantham.
