A tweet uploaded by BJP leader Arun Yadav on the gesture of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the funeral of legendary singer Latha Magheskar has created huge outrage among the public. The prolific singer laid to rest with full state honours on Sunday in the presence of her family at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. She died at Breach Candy hospital on Sunday due to the failure of multi organs at the age of 92. Prime minister Narendra Modi, Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan were among those who paid homage to the veteran singer.

Shah Rukh Khan, one of the leading actors of Bollywood cinema, offered dua and said a prayer while paying his respects. After he finished his prayer, the actor lowered his safety mask and blew in the air as a custom his prayer which is a well cocumented, common Islamic ritual. While the videos and prayers of Shah Rukh offering his prayer grabbed headlines with many admiring the actor’s gesture, party members of BJP decided to make it appear on social media as if Khan was “spitting” on the ace singer.

Arun Yadav, The sate-in charge of BJP Haryana, came up with a tweet asking whether the Super star actor was “spitting”. He asked “Kya isne thuka hai?” through his twee which means “Did he spit ?” by adding a video clip of the actor’ gesture. Check out his twee below :

The tweet created huge outrage among the users of online platforms as the claim has no base. Meanwhile, Another BJP leader, the party’s Uttar Pradesh Spokesperson Prasant Umrao, made the same allegation through his twitter handle. “Shahrukh is Spitting!” his tweet read.

Users of the online platform, responded to Yadav’s tweet by slamming him for having little knowledge about what Shah Rukh did and for causing unwanted ruckus among public against the actor. Check out some of the reactions below :
