Bakkiyalakshmi Sathish who is popularly known as “Gopi” among the Television audience, announced that he will no longer be a part of the widely watched serial. Weeks ago, The seasoned actor who released a video saying that his portions will be reduced due to the entry of actor Ranjith whom Sathish mentioned as “Hero” of the serial.

The “Bakkiyalakshmi” serial, Sathish plays the role of a family man who involves in having an affair with a wife of an another man. He lies to wife and cheats his family to make excuses in order to spend time with her. Viewers were eagerly watching the serial to see him get caught to his wife and family. Now, after getting caught, Gopi started living with his affair Radhika and her daughter.

Earlier, on seeing his character receiving hatred from the audience, Sathish uploaded a video in his official twitter account and said that it is just acting. “You people are angry at me right ?? What can I do ?? My owners are giving me salary and I have to act as they say.” he said in the video.

“But you people tell me frankly. Do any of we actors have scope in acting as a hero ?? We can perform only if we get chances to do the antagonist roles. To act as a hero, we should always be as sad as Devadas” Sathish said. “Villains like Raghuvaran, Rajini, Prakash Raj” he added.

Now he came up with a note,”You might get anger, frustration or sadness after hearing what I’m going to say. If feels sad for me too but i have to do this. In few days, that is in 10-15 episodes, I will be relieving from ” Bakkiyalakshmi”. There’s no change in it” Sathish said in the video”.

“There are so many reasons behind this decision of mine. But i have personal reasons too. I thank Vijay TV for giving me the opportunity to portray as Gopi. I gave my best while acting in this serial and thank everyone who showered love on me” he added.

To the people who ask him why he is playing negative role in “Bakkiyalaklshmi”, Sathish said that a real success of an actor lies on the performance he delivers for whatever role he is been given. “Lot of top actors played negative roles in their career to prove themselves” he said. “ennaiyum madhichu, neenga kodukkura anbukkum, kaatra mariyadhaikkum en nandri. Thank you.” Sathish wrote as the caption of his post.

Baakiyalakshmi, a television series in the Tamil language, airs on Star Vijay and is also available on Disney+ Hotstar. It is an official adaptation of the Star Jalsha series Sreemoyee. The lead role of Baakiyalakshmi is portrayed by K S Suchitra Shetty, while Sathish Kumar, Reshma Pasupuleti, and Ranjith play other important characters. Originally scheduled to debut on March 16, 2020, the show’s premiere was delayed due to the COVID-19 lockdown and eventually aired on July 27, 2020.

Earlier,“All of you would have watched the promo, Hero Ranjith sir made his entry in the serial. Show the same love, affection and respect you people show us to Ranjith sir as well. I wish you all to give more and more appreciations and love to us” Gopi said in the video he released.
