On Wednesday, Teachers’ Day is being celebrated across the country as a mark of respect for the tireless efforts of teachers across the country. The tradition started in 1962, to commemorate the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President, and the second President of independent India.

Dr Radhakrishnan, a distinguished scholar in the field of comparative religion and philosophy believed that teachers should be the best minds in the country, as they played one of the most important roles in shaping a nation.

All over social media everyone wished their teachers in this special day. Kollywood celebrities also never missed to celebrate their teachers. Director Atlee who directed films such as “Raja Rani” “Theri” “Mersal” posted a photo with Director Shankar with whom he worked as an assistant director earlier.

Director Atlee has constantly been trolled by a set of fans for copying the films of ace director “Manirathnam”. His debut film “Raja Rani” has been widely compared with “Mouna Ragam” a cult classic of Manirathnam.

His second film “Theri” was compared with “Chathriyan” which is also director by Manirathnam. His third film “Mersal” was compared with “Aboorva Sagotharargal” a double action film of Kamal Haasan.

Now this teacher’s day post of Atlee is going viral among meme pages in social media not because of the way he wished but because of the way he copied it.
