Actor Vijay celebrated his 46th birthday on Monday and his fans who couldn’t celebrate it in theatres due to the Corona crisis, trended several hashtags in the micro blogging social media site to celebrate their idol’s birthday. Meanwhile many write-ups and researches took place regarding the growth of the actor in the 27 years of cinematic career. Today, Vijay is one of the highest paid actors in Kollywood with huge fan base.

Meanwhile, a debate between two set of fans on whether Vijay’s career and market value got elevated to next level only due to Atlee, with whom the actor collaborated in three films in the last four years or Vijay made it on his own took place in Twitter. All the three films of the duo became blockbusters despite of several controversies and in fact opened a new market for Vijay. In Theri, Vijay featured in a full fledged police officer role and paired with Samantha and Emi Jackson. Though Vijay acted as an undercover cop in Pokkiri, his role in “Theri” impressed audience in big time.

In Mersal, Vijay appeared in a triple action role for the first time in his career and the film became a blockbuster as well. In their third collaboration, the actor portrayed a role of a 50 year old gangster who stutters. These experiments impressed Vijay’s fans but they couldn’t accept the statement that Altee is the only reason behind the boost in Vijay’s career.

Popular movie reviewer Abishek Raaja, posted a tweet on Vijay’s birthday, saying that Atlee is the main reason for the successful makeovers of Vijay. Though he mentioned only about “makeovers”, a set of fans started stating that Vijay’s career and market value would have been the same as today even without Atlee. Few said that Atlee played a vital role in Vijay’s career comparing to other directors as well.

In a way of shutting down all these speculations and statements, Atlee, came up with a birthday tweet to actor Vijay writing “without u am nothing” which made the fans of the actor happy. “Ennoda Anna…Ennoda thalapathy…. Love him more than me ,respect him ,owe him a lot & without u am nothing naa love u na Wish u many more happy returns of the day na” read the tweet of the filmmaker.
