Today Sun TV telecasted 2001 critically acclaimed film “Pandavar Bhoomi” as a noon show. The film which was written and directed by Cheran, has Arun Vijay, Shamitha and Rajkiran playing the lead roles.

Director Cheran who made the film, posted an emotional tweet, conveying a message to Arun Vijay who played the lead role in the film. “Today Pandavar Bhoomi is going to get telecasted in Sun Television, This is the film that made this cinema industry to utter your name for the first time I think. Your self confidence and the effort you put are your strengths. You have a long way to go. I am relishing on seeing your growth by sitting on a milestone named as “Pandavar bhoomi” that you crossed long back. Thank you” Cheran wrote in his tweet.

The filmmaker posted his tweet as a reply to one of a post uploaded by Arun Vijay earlier.

Arun Vijay, one of the bankable stars of Kollywood right now, replied with a tweet saying that “Pandavar Bhoomi” is a milestone that he couldn’t forget at all. “You taught me many nuances of acting through that film. It feels like that the shoot got completed just yesterday. I thank you for your heartfelt wishes. Yes, I have a long way to go” Arun replied.

“Pandavar Bhoomi” met with critical acclaim and went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil for Cheran. Arun Vijay portrayed a role of an architect in the film. Though the film is a success, Arun Vijay struggled for a long time to grab a spot for himself in Tamil film industry. Films like Thadam, Ennai Arinthaal, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam helped him to get into the track.

On the work front Arun is all set to appear in Agni Siragugal, Mafia Chapter 2, Boxer and Sinam.
