A couple of days back, video of Thirunavukarasu’s mother fought with public inside court premises went viral where she denied the allegations against her son. Latha is seen arguing with the public that her son is innocent and has been framed. Even when it was pointed out that the accused had confessed in a video of sexually assaulting hundreds of women the mother stood her ground.
She also claimed that her son was not absconding but was beaten up badly and she had treated him in Kovai Medial Center for ten days and saved his life. More and more controversies are smoking up from this issue and signals that there is a deeper conspiracy involved in this horrific crime against women.
A day later Latha also given a interview to Vikatan where she said that the girl in the video is someone from streets and the one which circulating is a made up video. “Do my son visible in the video? Is my son removed women’s clothes ?” asks Latha. “I also saw that video and my son is not in it. Only a hand is shown in the video which could be one of you guys. You all made a girl cry deliberately and created a fake video” says Latha who also complaints that her daughter refuses to go to college and threatens her of committing suicide. “Why should I live ?? If both of my children dies why would I live, I will also end my life” Latha cried in the video.
Now in a way of confronting her statements, famous Vijay Tv celebrity Aranthabgi Nisha has came up with a video in which she is seen thrashing Latha for her false statements. “Don’t you have sense ?? Do you think we don’t know how to differentiate between an item and a girl who is seeking for help ??” asks Nisha to the mother of Thirunavukarasu.
“Let us all boycott voting this time or vote for NOTA to make them hear our voice. Let us make them create a law saying that a girl or her family can kill a man who tries to rape her or tries to misbehave with her” said Nisha in her video.
This incident created massive outrage in the state Tamilnadu where many started protesting in order to get the culprits what they deserve. Apart from the public who are very much angry on the rapists, many celebrities started to raise their voice for the victims.
The case relates to allegations that a gang of four men have been befriending hundreds of women on social media and then sexually molesting them, since 2013. In some cases, the men shot explicit videos of the women and used those to blackmail their victims, police said. Four men – N Satish, N Sabarirajan, T Vasanthakumar and K Thirunavukkarasu – have been arrested in Pollachi in connection with the case. The four are now in judicial custody.
