After the promo of “Arabic Kuthu” got released, a number of online users including Polimer news channel claimed that it was a copy of a famous background score that was used for Goundamani in the movie “Sooriyan”. Now, the news channel has claimed that the song was a copy of Hasan Jahangir’s globally acclaimed “Hawa Hawa” song. Majority number of reactions trolling the channel for their comparison are flooding with few endorsing it.

The first single of “Beast” released on the special day that marks the occasion of Valentines. The 4 minute 42 seconds long lyric video is currently trending at no.1 in youtube platform with 45 million plus views. The video song featured Vijay and Pooja Hegde shaking their legs together for the fast number with lyrics popping up simultaneously.

Written by Sivakarthikeyan, the hook line of the song is Malama Pitha Pithadhe” and it’s hard to tell what it means. It is not sure whether it has any base in Arabic language as well. To the surprise of fans, the lyrical video also has a glimpse of Vijay and Pooja Hegde performing the signature step of “Arabic Kuthu”. Glimpses of set making and choreography were also provided for the fans in the lyric video.

Celebrities such as Samantha, Pooja, Sakshi, Yashika shook their legs for the song through their respective social media platforms. However, along with the familiarity, comparisons also started circulating in the Internet platform. Initially, after the release of the promo, many claimed that the song’s beat was already used as a track for comedy actor Goundamani in “Sooriyan” movie. Few compared it with the beats of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s “Rowdy Baby” as well.

Polimer news channel went one step ahead and said that the “Beast” single was copied from “Deewana Hoon Deewana”, a Hyberabadi style remix which was released 10 months ago. Now, after the full song got released, the same channel has came up with an accusation saying that Anirudh copied the song from “Hawa Hawa” which was composed by Hassan Jahangir. The channel also alleges that “Hawa Hawa” is itself got inspired from an Iranian song “Hawar Hawar” which was released during 1970. The song was sung by Kourosh Yagamei.
