Director Perarasu who is known for directing actor Vijay in films such as “Sivakasi”, “Thiruppachi”, in a recent audio launch function that look place for a movie named “Arasi”, expressed his disappointment over actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar for leaving the function in midway. He said that it looks like Groom and Bride leaving their marriage function in midway. He also criticized the make lead and music director of the film for not attending the function.

While delivering her speech, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar said that she is in a hurry as she is supposed to get on a flight. The actress who played the lead role in the film, thanked everyone for attending the function irrespective of Christmas event. “Sorry, I have to leave because of the flight” the actress said during her speech.

Reacting to the same, Director Perarasu, during his turn, said that it feels like groom and bride leaving the reception while guests are still waiting to wish them. “How it would look if the groom and bride say “you people bless us and leave, we have important works” ? That’s what happening here” the filmmaker said during his speech.

“It looks like we don’t have any work” Perarasu further said during his speech. “We became regular customers as far as blessing for movies in their audio launches are concerned. “Varalakshmi mam left the event saying that she work, Hero also left the event. Music director is considered as the hero of the event. He didn’t take part as well” the filmmaker fumed.

“It feels a bit sad to see this” said Perarasu and advised the producers to get a date from the heroine, hero and music director before choosing a date for the audio launch event. “What’s the use of us attending the event without them. The news will spread only if the lead actors attend it completely” he further added.

However, at the end, Perarasu wished the film to become a blockbuster and said that Varalakshni should become next “Vijaya Shanthi” through this project.
