Tamil actress Anjali Nair who is known for acting in films such as “Annaththe” of Superstar Rajinikanth, “Maamanithan” of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, accused a villain actor of sexually harassing her. Being unable to bear his torture, the actress said that she approached police. The statement made by the actress while giving interview to a private television channel, has been making headlines in leading media channels. Anjali Menon debuted to film industry as a child artist in Malayalam cinema.

The actress said that a “villain” actor tried to misbehave with her and also attempted to murder her by pushing her out of a train. While talking about the issue, Anjali Nair said “Despite having Kerala as my native, I very well know how to speak Tamil language. I wanted to act in Tamil films due to that reason” and went on to share about a shocking threat she came across.

“While I was acting in my first Tamil film, villain actor of that film tried to misbehave with me” the actress said in the interview, according to Nakkheeran. “As he also acted as the film’s Co-producer, he didn’t let me go off the shooting set, though I didn’t have to be there” She further added.

“He kept harassing me saying that he is in love with me. Once, he tried to push me off a train and tried to kill me. Beyond that, he kept harassing me in various ways. I approached Police after being unable to bear his harassment. I went back to Kerala due to that reason” Anjali Nair said to the media. The actress’s statement caused ruckus among the cinema industry.

On the personal front, Anjali Nair married a filmmaker named Aneesh in the year 2011. However, she got divorce from him due to unknown reasons. Last year, she married an assistant director named Ajith and is leading a peaceful life.
