Anirudh Ravichander is a South Indian film composer and singer, who primarily works in Tamil. At 21, he made his debut in the Tamil industry. His debut song, “Why This Kolaveri Di”, composed for the 2012 film 3, went viral across the globe, etching more than 175 million views on YouTube. He then went on to compose numerous hits and became one of the popular composers in South India. Today morning he also announced that he has collaborated with Lyca productions for their upcoming movie which is to feature Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. NRD fame Vignesh Shivan to direct the movie.

Recently an advertisement of Sprite featuring Anirudh and Bigg Boss fame Daniel pope surfaced in social media. Anirudh shared the video of that advertisement in official twitter and Facebook account. The video shows Daniel giving an idea to Anirudh to beat the heat by going to a cinema hall which has AC. As the theatre is houseful, Anirudh drinks Sprite and suggests everyone to consume Sprite to get rid off the heat in the voice over.

In his twitter post the musician added the caption saying “Summer might be just around the corner, but the ultimate refresher is already here. Check it right here and get your refreshment fix right now.”

This created massive hatred against him among his own followers. They suggested Anirudh not to feature in such ads for various reasons. Check out some of the reactions here :

Not only sprite also some other soft drinks like maaza, slice contains more preservatives and high toxic substance than this high soda drinks then why people are silent while promoting such soft drinks by some other celebrities.
