A verbal spat broke out between the fans of Tamil and Telugu film industry after the release of Manirathnam’s “Ponniyin Selvan”. While fans are involved in arguing with each other over which film is best, a twitter handle named “Andhra Box Office” came up with a review saying that “Ponniying Selvan 1” turned out as a mediocre film. The tweet was targeted by Tamil fans which is evident through the number of quoted tweets.

“#PS1 : A Historical Drama devoid of any enticing action or gripping narration. An ordinary Drama in which nothing stands out that’s worth mentioning!” read the review of Andhra box office.

“Don’t ever try to dub your big budget movies in tamil, we will spread negative reviews only” a Tamil fan replied after seeing the review whereas another user wrote “Please stop degrading Tamil movies, Bahubali 1 and 2 puspa and RRR were supported highly in Tamil … U need not support atleast stop degrading”

Earlier, Tamil nadu fans who watched “Poniyin Selvan” made fun of the “larger than life” scenes that took place in “Bahubali” movie which is the second highest most collected movie in Tamil nadu. As both the films were made based on period, the comparison started emerging ever since the teaser of “Ponniyin Selvan” released.
