While answering to the recent statement made by Ajay Devgn about Hindi being the national language of country India, Kangana maintained that Indian government had accorded the national language status to Hindi. The actress who spoke very high of Indian languages over English language, said that Ajay Devgn was not wrong, according to Indian express.
“When you travel through the country or go abroad to German, Spanish, French countries, they are very proud of their language. No matter, how dark their colonial history is, fortunately or unfortunately, English has become that link. Today, within country, we are using English to communicate. Should that be the link? Or Tamil or Hindi or Sanskrit be the link? We have to take a call. So, keeping all these things in mind, we decisively should take a call” actress Kangana Ranaut said.

“As of now Hindi is the national language, according to constitution. So when Ajay Devgn ji said that Hindi is the national language of our country, he was not wrong” the actress said according to Hindustan times. “But I would say Sanskrit should be our national language as languages like Hindi, German, English and French have all stemmed from Sanskrit” Kangana reportedly said.
“Why don’t we have Sanskrit as national language?? Why is it still not mandatory in schools?? I don’t know” She further added as per the report.
It all started after Ajay Devgn questioned Kichca Sudeep why he is dubbing his films in Hindi language if he thinks Hindi is not the national language of India. He confronted the South Indian actor Kichcha Sudeepa over his comment on Hindi not being the national language of India. Ajay questioned Sudeep why he is dubbing the films of his language to Hindi if he feels Hindi is not the national language of India. He also made a strong statement saying that Hindi was, is and will be the national language of the country.
Kichcha Sudeepa, at the trailer launch of a film said, “Someone said Pan India Film was made in Kannada. I would like to make a small correction. Hindi is no more the national language of India. They are doing Pan India films today. They are struggling by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil and not achieving the success. Today we are making films that reach everywhere” the senior actor said.
Reacting to the statement of Kichcha Sudeepa, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan who is known for acting in Hindi films for several decades, questioned Sudeep why he is dubbing his films in Hindi if he feels Hindi is not our national language. He also made a statement saying that Hindi was, is and will be India’s national language.
