Ahmedabad: Just days after a tragic car accident near the ISKCON Bridge that claimed nine lives, another incident occurred in Maninagar on Sunday night. This time, the accident was allegedly caused by individuals driving under the influence of alcohol. Their into a wall and overturned, raising serious concerns about road safety in the city.

The accident took place near Jawahar Chowk in Maninagar, approximately half an hour past midnight. The driver, who was suspected of driving while intoxicated, lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with the wall, causing it to overturn. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or fatalities in this particular incident. However, bloodstains found inside the car indicate the severity of the impact.

Eyewitnesses stated that some people were sitting on the railing at the time of the accident and narrowly escaped harm by quickly moving out of the car’s path. Upon receiving information about the accident, the Maninagar police responded promptly and took necessary action.

Police Inspector Undkat from the Maninagar Police Station confirmed that the individuals involved in the accident were allegedly under the influence of alcohol, as beer bottles were discovered in their car. A case has been registered at the police station, and investigations into the incident are underway.

The occupants of the car were residents of Isanpur and were traveling from Kankaria at the time of the accident. The authorities have initiated the process of taking appropriate action against them due to the severity of the situation. It has been revealed that there were three people inside the car when the accident occurred, and the vehicle’s registration number is GJ 27 AP 4361.
