Followed by the controversy that caused by stunt choreographer Kanal Kannan, actress Kasthuri who is known for predominantly appearing in Tamil films, uploaded a tweet questioning whether any statue of reformer Periyaar is placed in churches and mosques other than Hindu temples. The actress asked any of her twitter followers to tell her whether they anything about it.

For instigating public to break the statue of reformer Periyar which is placed opposite to a temple, stunt choreographer Kanal Kannan who works in Kollywood film industry, has been facing wrath of the public. In a video which is going viral in social media platforms, Kanal Kannan repeated his words three times, thinking that his mic was not working.
“They say that this is the last day of the Hindu religion campaign trip, no it’s not, Today is the beginning” says Kanal Kannan in the video which is trending in social media platforms. “For one day, lakhs and lakhs of people are visiting the Sri Ranganathan temple to get blessings of Lord Shiva. “Statue of a person who said that there’s no God is placed right opposite to the temple” Kannan further said.

Police case filed against the celebrity followed by the several condemnations. Actress Kasthuri, in her tweet, asked whether there is any statue of Periyar located near Mosque or Church other than temple. “Sincere qn. உங்களுக்கு தெரிந்தால் சொல்லுங்கள்.
