Actor Vimal’s speech about his failures in the launch of his upcoming web series “Vilangu” has won the hearts of online users. The actor who said that he was sitting at home for past three years without films, received accolades after identifying himself as an experienced actor instead of an unsuccessful one. He thanked Zee channel for giving him the opportunity to star in the web series “Vilangu” which he sees as his come back to the Tamil film industry.

Followed by acting as a junior artist in films such as “Gilli”, “Kreedam”, “Kuruvi”, “Kanchivaram”  Vimal debuted as one of the leads in Pandiraj’s critically acclaimed Pasanga. Subsequently, he played lead roles in several low-budget productions and tasted success through films such as “Kalavani”, “Vaagai Sooda Va” etc.

However, after the release of “Kalavani 2” and “Kanni Raasi” in the year 2019 and 2020 respectively, the actor didn’t see any releases despite of six of his films going through various stages of production. In the launch of his “Vilangu” film, the actor talked about the failures he faced in his career.

Talking about why he chose to venture into web series, the actor said that the content of “Vilangu” was so huge and it couldn’t be conveyed in 2 to 2 and half hours span. “We all struggled. I was sitting in home without films for the past three years. Producer was busy at one period and he was also running office without doing any project for the past one year. Prashanth who gave a flop earlier is directing the project. Think how it could turn out” the actor said in the press meet.

“Zee 5 deserves the appreciation for believing in three of us and taking over the project. I see three of us as three experienced individuals instead of unsuccessful ones. We could gain experience only in failures. I believe “Vilangu” will be my come back into the Tamil film industry” Vimal further said.
