Popular actor Vijayakumar who is popularly known as “Thalaivasal” Vijay is going to get his daughter married to famous cricketer Baba Aparajith who represented team Tamilnadu in Ranji Trophy for several years. Engagement ceremony of the couple took place recently and the date of the marriage is expected to be announced soon. In the meantime, pictures of the couple are doing rounds in social media platforms with many wishing the couple to lead a happy and prosperous life together.

Baba Aparajith was a member of team Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League for five seasons. He represented team India in the 2012 Under 19 World Cup tournament. Being an all rounder, the right hand batsman was the leading run scorer for team Tamilnadu in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy tournament. He took 100+ wickets in his first class cricketing career as an off-break bowler.

Taking to his Instagram, the emerging cricketer announced about the next big thing in his life by uploading a picture with Jayaveena, a swimming athlete. Being a daughter of renowned actor “Thalaivasal” Vijay, Jayaveena made many nationally recognized achievements in her career.

In her interview with a media portal, Jayaveena credited her father for her success before stating that competing in Olympics is her ultimate goal. Jayaveena earned herself the title of the youngest swimmer to win a medal at the National Games, a feat that she achieved at Ranchi Nationals in 2011. She went on to bag many other awards and medals in her swimming career which started while she was just two and half years old, according to her father.

Most lately, the engagement ceremony of the duo took place as a private event and both of them shared about it in their respective social media handles. “To the new beginnings” said Baba Aparajith by uploading a picture of himself with his fiance and added an hashtag that said “engaged”.

Actor Thalaivasal Vijay who has acted in more than 200 films in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu combined, was last seen in films such as “Laththi”, “Yaanai” and “D Block”. He is expected to appear in much more films in the future.
