Shakthi Vasudevan is an Indian actor who has predominantly worked on Tamil-language films. The son of director P.Vasu, Shakthi began his career as a child artist in his father’s films before making his comeback in the lead role in Thottal Poo malarum (2007). He has since enjoyed limited success as an actor, notably appearing in Ninaithale Inikkum (2009) and his father’s Kannada film, Shivalinga.
Recently he regained his fame through the popular Tv show BIGG BOSS hosted by Kamla Haasan. Taking part in the first season along with Ganja Karuppu, Oviya, Gayathri raguraman Shakthi earned his nickname “Trigger” through the show for using the word very often.
Now to out shock the actor has been arrested by Police for drunken driving. Accused for rash driving, car accident and hit to passerby in drunken state, Shakthi is now being questioned by Anna Nagar police. Reports says that the actor went in high speed without control in a crowded area of Choolaimedu, Chennai. He allegedly made damage to a passerby and tried to escape without stopping the car.
According to One India On seeing the luxury car going in out of control, nearly 20 people including few bikers chased down the car and shocked to see “trigger” Shakthi inside in a drunken state. As soon as seeing him people called the police who came and escorted him to the Anna nagar Police station.

According to Indiaglitz Police inspected Shakthi and found him drunk for which they registered a complaint as well. This incident created furore in the surroundings of Choolaimedu.
After an initial enquiry, Shakthi was booked for driving under the influence of alcohol and for causing an accident. Cops arrested Shakthi but was later released on a bail. His vehicle and driving licence was seized by the traffic cops. He has been booked under sections 279 and 185 of Indian Penal code. And it is also reported that the actor has been released immediately in bail.
Now it seems the actor has been apologized to everyone regarding his disgraceful act. According to Indiaglitz the actor promised that it won’t happen again and also wrote that it is a lesson for him in the post.
Shakthi being a son of director P.Vasu, was eliminated on the 50th day of BIGG BOSS show for getting the lowest number of votes from the audience. He also involved in a verbal spat with actress Oviya who was a darling of audience at that time.
