A.R Rahman Indirectly Slammed Bollywood For Sushant’s Demise ??

From Amitabh Bhachchan to Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, entire Indian film industry expressed their condolences regarding the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput but a tweet posted by A.R Rahman who spent major part of his career in Bollywood industry, grabbed a special attention from the netizens.

Being the only Indian musician to win the academy award, A.R Rahman is known for his cool and composed attitude. His calm attitude even after winning Oscar twice, is world famous. However, the musician is being a pretty much vocal through his official social media accounts about social issues for past few months. Last year, a tweet A.R Rahman posted against Hindi imposition in India went extremely viral and people amused on seeing the musician’s bold tweet. Now, regarding the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, A.R Rahman wrote “What a way to go Sushant …Rest in peace in a better place #ripsushant” to express his condolence.

Since the demise of Sushant, many people including celebrities such as Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi blamed the high profile stars for the existence of nepotism in the industry. The way A.R Rahman said “Rest in peace in a better place” was believed by his fans and followers to be a sly dig at the industry of Bollywood where the musician spent most of his time in his career.

Shekar Kapur, a popular director and actor in Bollywood film industry, through his tweet, said that he knew the story of people who let him down so bad. “I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. In Sushant’s upcoming film “Dil Bechara” which is a remake of Hollywood epic love tale “Fault in our stars”, A.R Rahman was committed to compose music. The film which is currently under post production process is expected for a theatrical release.
