A.R Rahman expressed his disappointment in an interaction over remixing his songs. Now, netizens has found the particular remix song which left the academy award winning musician frustrated. The particular video of the composer letting his emotions out is going viral in the micro blogging social media site.

Being the only Indian musician to win the academy award, A.R Rahman is known for his cool and composed attitude. His calm attitude even after winning Oscar twice, is world famous. Now, netizens got a bit surprised on seeing a frustrated Rahman for the first time, that too on air.

Rahman has said that a song which was made already should be left alone. He said that it could not be ruined in the name of remix. “The director was given an idea, The composer has done, The lyric writers done, The actors have acted. So it’s holy for people. You can’t take that, push all the names and put the remixer’s name on it” said the composer about giving the credit at least to the owner while remixing his song.

“They don’t even credit the original composer, that’s the annoying thing. So this generation will think that the song was done by the remixer and they would appreciate him. That’s not a good thing. Credits have to be given and permission has to be taken.” said Rahman who went on to reveal a song which hurted him the most.

He said that the song “Ishwar Allah” from 1947 is one of his favourite songs that he composed. “They took that song and really killed it” the composer said. When the interviewer asked whether he did anything about it, Rahman said that he didn’t do anything about it as he was in a shock.

“Whatever added to that song maybe beautiful but not with this song” Rahman said. “Because it’s memories, It’s respect, It’s something which happened at that time, it’s destiny. You cant’ change that and I hate to use the word bastardized it” Rahman added.

The song which Rahman mentioned took place in the recently released film PM Narendra Modi which had actor Vivek Oberoi in the role of prime minister Narendra Modi.

It is notable that Rahman is the music composer who introduced remix culture in Tamil cinema by remixing “Thottal Poo Malarum” in his film “New”. However, the musician received permission from original composer M.S Viswanathan. There are reports about an incident where the musician got appreciated by MSV for not ruining the originality of the older version. He also remixed “Ponmagal Vanthaal” song in Vijay’s Azhagiya Tamizhmagan. That was the last remix song made by Rahman.
