A 14 year old Jayasree got killed by 2 men in a most horrific way which left the entire state in utter shock. Men who belong the ruling party of Tamilnadu, tied the girl’s hands and legs and poured petrol on her before setting fire on her for refusing to open a shop which belongs to her father. The incident happened in Villupuram.

52 year old G. Murugan, husband of former councillor and K. Kaliyaperumal, 60 year old belongs to AIADMK, according to reports.Both the accused got arrested by police and case have been registered. A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 302 ( Murder), 452 ( House trespass after preparation for hurt, assault, wrongful restraint), 341 ( Punishment for wrongful restraint), 294 b (Creating nuisance to the public by uttering obscene words), 323 ( Voluntarily causing hurt), 324 ( Voluntarily causing hurt by using dangerous weapon) Both of them consumed alcohol when the crime took place, reports suggested.

14 year old Jayashree was living with her father Jayabal in a small house in Srimadurai village in Villupuram district. On Sunday, Murugan who went to Jayshree’s house to tell her father to open a shop he owns in the locality, came to know that Jayabal was not in house. When Jayashree who was present at her home refused to open the shop and told Murugan to deal with her father, the accused left the place in a furious state. At that time, Murugan was drunk, according to police reports.

After few hours, when a smoke came out from the house, neighbours rushed to the house of Jayashree where they saw her ablaze with hands and legs tied. They tried to save her by pouring water on her immediately and rushed to Villupuram medical college hospital for treatment.

The teen said that it was Murugan and Yasagan alias Kaliyaperumal who tied her hands, poured petrol on her and set her on fire. Reacting to her statement to the magistrate, Police have arrested Murugan and Kaliyaperumal. Villupuram SP Jayakumar said “The first information report has been registered against the ADMK members. We arrested them and investigating the case from various angles” to The News minute.

In the first step of investigation, it has been revealed that Jayabal and Murugan are relatives who are having a land related issue going on in between them. Seven years ago, Murugan and his group of friends chopped off Jayabal’s uncle’s arm and arrested. However, they came out on bail, says the report.

This incident has created huge outrage in social media platforms where people are demanding immediate justice by punishing the criminals.
