According to Polimer news channel, celebrity couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan could face maximum of 10 years jail sentence if they found guilty in breaching the law of surrogacy. The report suggests that the couple landed in trouble after uploading a post in their social media handles in casual manner. The actress has been consulting lawyers nowadays, the report added.

As per the report, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan who are living in an apartment located in Egmore, landed in trouble after updating about giving birth to twin babies. As health minister Ma. Subramaniyan had said that a special team has been formed to investigate on whether the couple gave birth to the babies through surrogacy by following the law, the actress has been meeting lawyers by inviting them to her house to get suggestions.

Report of Polimer says that the government, as soon as starting the investigation, would look into the list of applicants who applied to give birth to babies through surrogacy in the hospitals. Names of Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara must be found in the list and it is one of the most important rules to give birth to babies through surrogacy, says the report.

While registering, al the required documents must be submitted by the applicants. Going by minister Ma. Subramanian’s statement, the hospital which helped the couple to go through the surrogacy method has been found and a report from the hospital is expected to be submitted to the government soon. Experts say that the couple will be subjected to 10 years of jail sentence if they found breaking the law while going through surrogacy method to give birth to their children, according to Polimer.

In his recent interaction with press reporters, Tanilnadu’s health minister Ma. Subramaniyan confirmed that the team which was appointed to investigate, has found the hospital where Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara went through the surrogacy method to give birth to twin babies. The minister made sure that he will give one of copies of the report he will be receiving from the hospital to the press reporters as soon as getting it.

“Details of the hospital has been found. As soon as I get the report, I will give you all one copy” the minister said while answering to one of the reporters. “Is there any chances for the couple to be called for a direct inquiry??” another reporter asked to which the minister said “They will be called if there’s any necessity”

To the various reporters who asked different questions regarding the celebrity couple, the minister said “To all of you who are asking different questions, a team has been formed to investigate the case. Officials have started investigating whether they followed rules and legal procedures”
