A Teacher From Villupuram Tortures 4th Std Students By Burning Them With Camphor

A teacher in Villapuram district has been arrested for allegedly placing burning camphor on the legs of 15 Class 4 students as punishment for poor academic performance.
“We have arrested her under the Juvenile Justice Act,” said District Superintendent of Police Narendar Kumar.
A local court has sent the teacher, Vaijayanthimala, to judicial custody till June 24.
The education department has suspended her and the Head Master of the government school where she taught.
